Scout Group website. On this site we aim to provide information about
our Scout Group and the activities and events on offer to children
in our local community. |
| We have a Beaver Colony (6 to 8 years), a Cub Pack
(8 to 10½ years) and a Scout Troop (10½ to 14 years). |

We are supported by an enthousiastic
group of volunteer leaders who give up many hours of their time
week in week out, not just for weekly meetings and the associated
preparation and planning, but also for camps and days out and our
own leader training (which is compulsary). Child protection is our
top priority and all leaders are CRB checked and first aid trained. |

| The
group is financed in a number of ways. Weekly subscriptions (subs)
are paid by each child; for admin reasons we prefer this to be paid
by monthly direct debit.This money is primarily used to buy badges,
pay the rent and provide our insurance cover. |

|
| Gift
Aid is a valuable source of money for the group. Using Gift Aid means
that for every pound of subs you give, we get an extra 25 pence from
the Inland Revenue; helping your member subscriptions go further.

|
|
|
| Money
for equipment is provided by our fundraising team. They organise a
wide range of activities and events. We are always keen to involve
new people. Please look at the FUNDRAISING

more infomation. |

| We
regularly apply for grants from many sources. Such grants have financed
a new mini-bus, our trailer, a projector and white screen - to name
but a few. |
